Barbara Goleman Senior High is a mandatory uniform school.  The dress code was established in order to create a safe learning environment as well as an atmosphere in which students and faculty can function without distraction.

SHIRTS

• Color:  White or Burgundy
• Style:  Polo or Oxford
• Emblem:  School Seal Embroidered on Left Chest

** T-shirts worn under the uniform shirt, cannot be longer than the uniform shirt and the sleeves cannot be longer than the uniform shirt.
** Class or club t-shirts will be allowed to be worn on designated days.

PANTS

• Color:  Khaki or Black
• Style:  Ankle length pants. Docker’s style, worn at the waist. 
              NO SHORTS, CAPRI, CARGO OR BAGGY PANTS.

In addition the following guidelines should be observed:

• No clogs, sandals or other shoes without back straps.  No metal cleats on school grounds.
• No hats, bandanas, or any type of headgear will be permitted.
• Students involved in extracurricular activities are subject of the dress code of the organization.
• No cell phones, beepers, radios, CD players, or other electronic devices (i.e. MP3, iPods, PDA’s, etc.) are allowed to be used during school hours.  Additionally, cell phones are not to be turned on and should only be used before 7:25 and after 2:30.
