The Academy of Insurance exposes students to rewarding careers in the insurance industry. Through classroom training, fieldtrips, guest speakers, and on-the-job training, students become familiar with insurance related careers. Twelfth grade students have two elective classes that provide hands-on experience in the insurance field. At age 18 seniors can become state certified and can enter the insurance field immediately following their high school graduation saving both time and money.

The Teacher Education Academy: College Head start (T.E.A.C.H. Academy) promotes excellence in teaching practices and cultivates a cooperative atmosphere among students, teachers, and the community. Students develop leadership skills, social skills, learning styles, presentation techniques and more. The curricular emphasis is on the investigation and exploration of educational materials and presenting data effectively. Students gain the knowledge, preparation, and experience necessary to successfully pursue a career in education or in a leadership capacity in any career field where instruction or training is utilized.

The Academy of Fashion Marketing is one of the largest growing fields in the world. Students prepare for employment in a variety of fields that direct the flow of goods and services in today’s consumer oriented world. Students are given the opportunity to explore careers in fashion, fashion marketing, and the sales industry. Participants gain tangible knowledge and business experience in event planning and promotion through popular activities such as fashion shows, field trips and courses geared for participation in the fashion industry.

The International Business Relations Academy (IBRA) educates young minds with business oriented experiences that surely brighten their future. These students have hands on experiences by participating in internships, attending workshops, and numerous field trips in the local community and throughout the U.S. IBRA students are highly encouraged to take advance placement classes and register for dual enrollment courses with Miami Dade College. These students graduate with the skills necessary to obtain a job in any business related field. IBRA is an Academy of Finance through the National Academy Foundation (NAF) and has the benefits of scholarships, internships and events exclusively to NAF academy students.
