World Languages

Florida's state universities have a minimum entrance requirement of two sequential years of the same foreign language. All of the courses listed below and on the following pages will meet this requirement. In order to become proficient in a language, students are encouraged to go beyond the two-year minimum requirement.

SPANISH FOR SPANISH SPEAKERS

Note: Native speakers of Spanish, who wish to study Spanish, but have not previously taken Spanish in school, need to sign up for Spanish S/1. These students will be given a placement test in Spanish and will then be recommended to the appropriate level of Spanish S.
